Hey, everyone,

Happy first day of fall! Here in the desert of Phoenix, we embrace the cooler season with sweaty arms.

But did you know the equinox isn’t actually a full day affair?

Technically, the equinox is the exact moment when the Sun crosses the celestial equator (that imaginary line in the sky above Earth’s Equator).

But we’re happy to celebrate all day. So let’s kick off the celebrations with our weekly 8 That Rate. We’re talking content marketing misconceptions, WP Engine, and why PPC isn’t enough by itself.

Let’s go!

1.1000 lb. Sentence(s)

The big misconception is that content marketing is blogging.”

– Russ Henneberry, Digital Marketer

Don’t get me wrong, blogs are a huge player when it comes to content marketing. But they’re only a small piece of a much larger picture.

Read all about it here.

2. Hot Tip

We love us some WP Engine.

Because we use WordPress, which powers almost 27% of all websites worldwide, we only trust a hosting service that is:

  • WordPress exclusive
  • Built specifically for use with WordPress technology
  • Staffed by experienced WordPress professionals
  • Backed by guaranteed security for WordPress sites

But there’s a lot more to it than that. Find out why WP Engine is our one and only; and should be yours, too!

Check it out.

3. Win of the Week:

Great success take time. But sometimes, when you’re really good at something, you can make magic happen.

Like with our client, Sunny Energy Solar’s PPC Campaign. Only three days in (three), their remarketing campaign has a cost per conversion of $9.41.

…And we got five conversions for remarketing, in the first three days.

Want to make this happen for your business, too? Call us.

5. Blog Spotlight

Spoiler alert:

PPC management alone is not enough.

Sorry to break it to ya. But if you’re looking to generate high-quality leads, running paid traffic is only half the battle. In fact, it’s the easier half.

See, paid traffic is fickle. When you put an ad in front of someone, you’re making them a promise. When they click on that ad, they have certain expectations that you have to fulfill.

Let me explain further in this blog here.

6. 6.  Best-of-the-Week Outside Content

“You’ve probably heard: Artificial intelligence (AI) is the future of marketing. But it’s not just the future—most marketers already use AI everyday.” (Ad Week)

Does this blow your mind?

Ad Week explains 8 Ways You’re Using AI Without Even Knowing It, and it’s worth the read.

7. One of the Good Ones

For another week, we have to focus our attention on Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, both of which left a lot of pain destruction behind.

This week, we’re shining the light on Convoy of Hope, a charity founded in 1994 that has now served over 80 million people. Convoy of Hope works through churches, businesses, government agencies and other nonprofits to provide help and hope to those who are impoverished, hungry and hurting.
